Fire Service Preservation Group
Preserving Fire Service History for over 50 years
The FSPG is the largest UK based mobile fire service museum, with a network of private appliance owners, collectors,
re-enactors and enthusiasts. You don’t have to be an appliance owner to be a member of the FSPG.
Our members spend their own money restoring and preserving their vehicles tinkering with pumps and collecting equipment to take them to shows, often at substantial cost to themselves to show and demonstrate the history of the Fire & Rescue services in the UK.
Exhibits range from the Great Fire of London to the present day and everything in between!
Often fully operational and demonstrations of them working take part regularly.
Check our rally diary to find an event close to you.
The FSPG are members of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, The Fire Heritage Network and The Dennis Society. We represent our members within these groups to further enhance the hobby. Membership of the FBHVC gives us a voice when dealing with legislation that is not favourable to older vehicles.
Each of our members is individually insured to exhibit and demonstrate fire service equipment within their own capabilities. This also includes the use of live fire and pyrotechnics.
Our insurance does not replace the need for third party insurance for road use.
We publish a journal 10 times a year and have a network of branches that enjoy various activities such as equipment familiarisation sessions, social gatherings and workshop meets.
