Where are you from?
I currently live in Horsham
What do you do for a Living?
Up until a year ago I was a Key Accounts Manager for the Japanese company Makita, After turning 40 I decided to have a career change or was it a Mid life crisis? - I am now the Accounts Manager for 1st Defense Fire & Rescue.
How long have you been a member of FSPG?
5 years - Joining in 2015
How long have you been on the EC?
7 Months - Joining in Feb 2020
Are there any special positions or roles you do for the FSPG?
I am the Membership Secretary and Treasurer.
Why did you became a member of the EC?
An opportunity arose for a new membership secretary and as I’m studying for a degree in accounting, I thought this would be a good opportunity to learn and give my spare time to a great group.
What vehicles /collections do you own?
I purchased my first fire engine an ERF in 2016 currently on the list for restoration along with the other 3 me and my husband own.
What’s on your shopping list?
Due to growing up and driving race cars my shopping list is quite long but at the top are, MK2 Ford Escort, 1991 Lotus Carlton, Sierra RS Cosworth, Shelby Mustang.
What is your favourite era for re-enacting/ to portray in arena events?
I haven’t spent much time in the arena, I’m hoping to change this next year.
What do you get out of being a member of FSPG?
I get to meet so many interesting people from all walks of life. And as I’m a bit of a petrol head, I get time to look at lots of lovely engines/vehicles.
What would you say to someone looking to join the FSPG?
We are a great group and are always looking for new members to bring along their experience and knowledge.
Have you got a random piece of fact/trivia/skill you would like to share?
I used to race go karts representing Makita.
